Job Summary
Graduate-level to mid-career researcher role focusing on mammalian cell culture, organoid systems, and assay workflows within NGNRI’s organoid platform. Responsibilities include routine and advanced mammalian cell culture, maintenance and characterization of organoids, executing experimental protocols under supervision, maintaining detailed lab records, assisting in protocol optimization for reproducibility and scalability, reagent preparation, QC checks, and collaboration with platform teams. Training is provided at Henry Ford Health with progression toward independent operation, contributing to high-impact biomedical research for NF1-related investigations. Strong emphasis on accuracy, organization, teamwork, and adherence to biosafety and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
- 1–5+ years of relevant laboratory experience (RA Grade II/III)
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and organoid systems preferred
- Familiarity with sterile technique and basic cell-based assays
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and reproducibility
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment
