Job Summary
The Research Assistant will support literature searches, data management, participant recruitment and consent, and conduct interviews with patients and family members. Responsibilities include maintaining data collection files, scheduling and conducting interviews, data coding and analysis, and generating reports, graphics, and correspondence. Strong communication and mathematical skills gained through a four-year college education (preferably with graduate-level exposure in neuroscience, nursing, psychology, engineering, social work, or public health) are required. Proficiency with software such as SPSS, Stata, and Matlab, familiarity with medical/health services research terminology, and the ability to manage data across multiple projects are important. The role involves collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and other professionals, along with potential travel to other sites or participant homes. May participate in scholarly activities, attend meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.
