Research Assistant

Postdoctoral Researcher in Pharmacognosy/ Plant Phytochemistry will plan and perform analyses on the phytochemical characterization of extracts from Quercus alnifolia using spectrophotometric assays, LC-MS, and NMR; execute liquid–liquid fractionations; record, organize, and interpret experimental data; prepare project summaries, reports, and scientific figures; contribute to scientific publications and deliverables; collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while ensuring ethics and laboratory safety. The project GoldenOak aims to investigate phytochemical profiles and bioactive potential across plant organs to develop nutraceutical and cosmeceutical products, with antioxidant activity assessments and isolation of major bioactive constituents. The successful candidate will work with Dr Chrystalla Antoniou and Dr Constantinos Nikiforou in a multidisciplinary research environment, with emphasis on independent and collaborative execution and clear scientific communication in English.
