Job Summary
Review project background and status with Research Program staff, then participate in all research phases including planning, preparation, calibration, application, evaluation, data analysis, and maintenance. Collect and interpret data to draw sound scientific conclusions that impact research plans and advancement decisions on experimental materials. Make novel observations and present project reviews before colleagues and peers. Offer samples for research and procurements, and visit partner labs to learn new tissue preservation and processing techniques. This internship-level role provides introductory research work in a developmental industrial setting for degree-seeking science students.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be a degree-seeking students enrolled at an accredited college or university, or within a year of finishing their degree or program.
- The candidates will have completed at least a basic entry-level college biology course
- be working towards a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in a scientific field
- Candidates must be local
Desired Qualifications
- Laboratory experience working with pipets and volumetric glassware is highly desirable.
