Research Assistant/Associate

MRI-based research project in Computational Neuroscience and Neuroimaging to join the CNNP Lab. Conducts MRI data processing (structural and diffusion MRI) and develops quantitative methods with statistical and computational modelling to characterise brain structure across health and disease. Responsibilities include coordinating with collaborators, presenting progress to investigators, and contributing to dissemination through publications and conference presentations. Candidates should have substantial experience in neuroimaging data processing and strong computational/statistical skills (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R); experience with normative modelling, clinical neuroimaging datasets, or large-scale data pipelines is welcome. The role involves conducting in-person research in Newcastle, with a 12-month term initially, based in the School of Computing at Newcastle University. Involves training and mentoring, and potential involvement in grant applications and student supervision. The position requires a PhD near completion or PhD in relevant fields, a strong publication record being advantageous, and a commitment to research excellence and collaboration.
