Job Summary
Research Assistant supporting healthcare data analytics projects: data preparation, cleaning, and integration of multi-source datasets (including electronic health records, system log data, survey data, and administrative data) for research; develop data analysis pipelines in Python and SQL; apply advanced analytics including machine learning and natural language processing to extract insights from healthcare datasets; coordinate on-site research activities with hospitals, clinics, and institutional partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Biomedical Informatics, or a related quantitative discipline. A Master’s Degree will be an advantage.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with demonstrated ability to process and analyze large datasets.
- Experience working with unstructured data, such as text, image, or audio data, including familiarity with natural language processing, computer vision, or speech data processing.
- Knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and machine learning workflows, with the ability to implement analytical pipelines for empirical research.
- Ability to manage and integrate multi-source datasets, including structured and unstructured data from digital systems, surveys, or administrative databases.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document analytical processes and support research reporting.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary research teams and healthcare environments.
