Job Summary
Design, produce, and maintain documentation, systems, devices, fixtures, and equipment critical to the engineering team's function for novel medical devices. Independently run short-term and long-term projects, make decisions on significant technical issues, and implement management policies while prioritizing work based on assigned goals. Generate accurate documentation of concepts, prototypes, drawings, protocols, and testing consistent with company quality standards and regulations. Mentor the department, teach procedural systems, and identify process improvements to avoid historical mistakes. Work effectively in collaborative and independent environments with minimal supervision, adhering to safety requirements and maintaining regular attendance.
Required Qualifications
- AS or BS degree in relevant field
- 2 years of experience that relates directly to the above essential job functions/duties
- Experience working independently and with minimal supervision
- Must be able to multi-task, be adaptable, and team oriented
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (e.g., Word, Excel)
- ability to learn new software applications
- Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, lab coat, gloves) required in most areas associated with this position
- Sitting for extended periods
- close visual acuity for computer work
- Works partially under general office environmental conditions, with exposure to shop/lab environments as applicable
- Moderate to occasionally loud noise exposure
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to grasp/carry/feel/touch; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
