Job Summary
Collect and organize data to enable manager research, conducting desktop analysis to form views on investment manager strategies. Form agendas for onsite meetings, integrating desktop research to extract critical information and explain manager views to clients. Propose investment ranks for manager strategies substantiated by knowledge, document manager views, and prepare supporting content for investment recommendations. Utilize AI to enhance processes and efficiency while driving ideas for process improvements. Liaise with team members to determine key priorities and objectives. This role offers opportunities for future advancement into an investment position within a small, experienced team focused on fixed income and credit strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree minimum
- Strong understanding of fixed-income concepts and data
- Strong quantitative skill set with the ability to analyze complex data
- Previous experience in portfolio analysis including factor analysis, risk exposures, performance attribution, etc.
- Time zone flexibility to work with colleagues based in Russell's different locations globally
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
Desired Qualifications
- Masters or above
- Numerate or finance related degree
- Understanding of investment principles and asset classes
- Ability to understand and use financial theory and tools
- Strong programming skills in Python and VBA
- Ideally, experience doing analysis of money managers and respective strategies in the fixed-income universe
- Ability to suggest process improvements based off this knowledge
- Programming experience: Python, SQL
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
- CFA or CAIA charter or progress
- Experience utilizing AI to enhance processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Curiosity and enthusiasm to learn and grow in the role
- Strong relationship management skills
- A learning mindset with a passion for investing
- Ability to act with discretion and maintain complete confidentiality
