Job Summary
Supervise and monitor data collection activities across piloting and enumeration phases to ensure data quality and adherence to protocols. Run high-frequency checks to identify and flag data quality issues in real time, while co-designing and testing research instruments and the digital data collection tool in SurveyCTO. Clean, organize, and analyze quantitative databases using statistical software such as R or Stata to generate visualizations and descriptive analyses that inform operational decisions. Coordinate with administrative, finance, and field teams to align on operational planning, process equipment procurement, and draft reports in English and Spanish. Conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings to support research design and document methodological lessons learned for national scale-up.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Public Policy, Statistics, or a related social science field
- Experience monitoring field data collection, including high-frequency checks (HFC), back-checks, and other real-time data quality monitoring procedures
- Experience identifying and resolving field-level implementation issues quickly and independently
- Quantitative skills and experience managing and analyzing data in Stata, R, or Python
- Familiarity with survey programming software, such as SurveyCTO, including experience testing instruments ahead of field deployment
- Understanding of fundamental principles of statistics and econometrics
- Strong oral and written communication skills in Spanish
- Working proficiency in English for reporting purposes
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with field teams, supervisors, colleagues, and government partners
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience supervising large-scale field teams (enumerators, supervisors, or auditors) in urban contexts
- Experience coordinating with government partners or international organizations
- Experience working on social protection or social registry projects
- Experience supporting impact evaluations or randomized controlled trials (RCTs)
