Job Summary
Provide proactive and differentiated research on the Industrials sector, including building materials, steel, packaging, chemicals, and contractors within the Australian listed market. Develop financial models and valuation databases for all stocks under primary coverage. Respond to market news, earnings releases, and corporate developments to produce timely reports. Present stock recommendations externally to fund managers and clients, and internally to institutional sales and sales traders. Maintain key client relationships and communicate ideas with the sales team to ensure maximum exposure. Collect data and compile answers for client requests accurately. Actively generate ideas for the team's development and maintain working relationships with corporates, clients, and government/industry organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above in business related discipline, preferably with finance and/or accounting major
- 5-15 years' experience as a research analyst/associate
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong understanding of financial modelling
- Strong excel/ spreadsheet skills
- Excellent interpersonal sensitivity
- High sense of commercial awareness
- Excellent communication, relationship and management skills to both internal and external clients
- Excellent command in both spoken and written English
