Job Summary
Conduct research and insight functions for the Global Thermal Coal position, including authoring country and regional reports and maintaining regular data deliverables. Contribute to weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc outputs while developing new visualizations in PowerBI. Collaborate with power and gas teams on work outside thermal coal, such as iron ore and manganese analysis for Southern Africa, and support ad hoc needs like social media, webinars, and events. Requires a graduate degree with 2–4 years of experience in mining research and strong quantitative and writing skills.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 2 years of experience in researching coal, iron ore, steel or manganese
- relevant related research experience
- experience within the mining industry
- experience within related markets
- Graduate degree in mathematics
- Graduate degree in economics

- Strong writing ability
- Strong numerical and data analytical skills
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications
