Job Summary
Research analyst to conduct research and analysis at the intersection of democratic backsliding and the military; analyze how would-be authoritarian leaders use the military to facilitate democratic backsliding with emphasis on the transatlantic relationship; handle survey/public opinion data, large data sets, text scraping and data from LLMs; develop and implement programming around events; draft research papers, op-eds, blogs, and reports; organize roundtables and liaise with journalists; supervise interns and coordinate with Senior Fellow; contribute to cross-cutting analysis within the Transatlantic Security team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a related field
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research and analytical capabilities in foreign policy/international affairs
- Knowledge of national security, civil-military relations, democracy topics
- Strong writing, verbal, and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment
- Track record of publications preferred
