Research Scientist role within NYC Health Department focused on population-level mental health surveillance and research. Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health
  • for Assignment Level II: either (a) a doctorate and one year of supervisory/research experience; or (b) a master's degree and three years of responsible full-time research experience; or (c) equivalent education/experience with at least a master's degree and two years of the required experience

  • Master's degree in physical, biological, environmental science or public health
  • one year of full-time supervisory/administrative or research experience for Assignment Level II
  • two years of relevant research experience can be substituted for Level II under conditions
  • ability to work with SAS and R
  • experience creating dashboards/reports/maps using Tableau, Power BI, and GIS tools
  • proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
