Job Summary
Monitor capital markets and individual company positions to provide data-driven insights on future securities performance. Analyze new investment strategies by back testing datasets, including Natural Language Processing products, and leverage gathered research to recommend securities actions for institutional clients. Collect information on prices, sales, government programs, and market trends to develop sales strategies, while analyzing capital structures for reports and presentations to institutional clients and industry groups. Collaborate with the ESG research team to analyze implications of ESG attributes in investment processes and develop databases and indicators for critical research products.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of experience in equity research, wholesale credit, buy side experience or investment banking experience
- Experience with econometric software and data and news services
- Experience with quantitative analysis and database management
- Experience with macroeconomic modeling and statistical and quantitative analysis
- Understanding of finance, accounting, economics, international affairs and politics
- Builds strong client relationships through effective communication and collaboration
- Executes multiple tasks simultaneously
- Applies learnings and adapts new information to identify appropriate client solutions
- Strong computer application skills, including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrates willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in finance or a related quantitative field
- Holds or is working towards a Chartered Financial Analyst and/or other relevant professional certifications
- Experience with data analysis using quantitative research and programming
- Experience with sell side research, established content generation and/or presentation franchise
