Job Summary
Commission research papers, organize and author final reports for outreach functions including conferences, workshops, roundtables, and red team exercises, and manage boards of experts on international affairs and national security topics. Meticulously catalogue event proceedings and conduct open-source research and analysis in support of US Government and private sector clients. Engage directly with experts from academia, think tanks, and the private sector to facilitate commissioned research and literature reviews. This role requires a U.S. citizen with a SECRET-level clearance and a relevant undergraduate degree. Applicants must submit a writing sample and complete a six-month probationary period. Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $120,000. Amentum delivers operational support services to the U.S. government and its allies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Undergraduate degree in regional affairs, international relations, political science, economics, history, security studies, or a related field
- Strong academic record
- Ability to take copious notes for workshops ranging in duration/theme and draft well-written, polished final reports varying in page-length
- Excellent organizational, writing, research, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, in particular Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Minimum SECRET-level clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate degree in regional affairs, international relations, political science, economics, history, security studies, or a related field
- 2 or more years of professional experience in event management and/or international relations, foreign policy, intelligence, or a related field
- Foreign language skills
- Access to a reliable vehicle for travel—sometimes with passengers—to client sites
