Research Accountant

Oversee reporting and compliance for a portfolio of research projects, prepare and sign off on financial statements, manage journals and budgets, and ensure compliance with research financial reporting standards. Liaise with Chief Investigators and external funding bodies, assist with requests related to financial statements and project closures, and promote knowledge sharing to foster continuous improvement. Typical day involves prioritising tasks, updating project budgets, and processing journals promptly while ensuring data accuracy. The role emphasizes collaboration with Chief Investigators, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and proactive problem solving to support research reporting and compliance. This is a fixed-term, full-time position based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) with potential cross-location work and a hybrid remote work option.
