Job Summary
The Rescue Technician provides technical rescue standby for confined space and technical rope rescue projects. Responsibilities include assessing risks, readying rescue equipment, and planning effective safety practices. In case of accidents, the technician locates victims, assesses injuries, administers first aid and CPR, and coordinates with EMS. Essential qualifications include a 40 Hour Rescue Technician certification, confined space training, CPR certification, and experience with equipment maintenance. The role requires strong safety oversight and effective communication regarding potential hazards.
Required Qualifications
- 40 Hour Rescue Technician (> 6 months experience)
- Confined Space Entrant/Attendant Certification
- Healthcare Provider CPR
- First Aid with AED
Desired Qualifications
- First Responder or better preferred
- Haz-whopper
- 4 Gas Monitor Operation Training
- Familiar with OSHA Atmosphere Limitation
- Proven Proficiency in Rescue Operations
