Job Summary
Conduct technical rescue standby for customer projects, including confined space and rope rescue operations, while assessing risks and drafting rescue preplans. Locate patients during accidents, assess injuries, package for extrication, and transport them to EMS after rendering first aid and CPR. Perform daily job briefings, monitor job conditions, and complete ICS reports to ensure worker safety. Maintain and inventory rescue equipment, following strict inspection and preventative maintenance guidelines. Travel 75% of the time to customer sites in a combination of office and field environments.
Required Qualifications
- Certification from the California Office of the Fire Marshal - State Fire Training
- Proof of successful completion from a California Office of the Fire Marshal – State Fire Training Accredited Firefighter 1 Academy
- IFSAC Firefighter I certified
- Pro Board Firefighter 1 certified
- High School Diploma/GED
- Confined Space Entrant
- Healthcare Provider CPR
- First Aid with AED
- First Responder or better
- Haz-whopper
- 4 Gas Monitor Operation Training
- Familiar with OSHA Atmosphere Limitation
- Proven Proficiency in Rescue Operations
- Ability to inspect, clean, and perform preventative maintenance on all rescue equipment so it is in a constant state of readiness
- Travel to and from customer sites 75% of time
