Job Summary
Execute USAP auction operations by unloading shipping containers, staging material, managing the website, lotting, cataloging, and tracking inventory while reporting sales data. Operate propane-powered warehouse forklifts and utilize cargo straps, banding, pallet jacks, and power tools in a 70% outdoor, physically demanding environment requiring constant lifting of 50–70 lbs. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and maintain a safe workplace by complying with Environmental Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and ASC metrics. Work within a diverse team unit in a fast-paced setting, maintaining flexibility and self-motivation to support Operations Division goals. Deploy to Port Hueneme, California for a February–April contract, reporting directly to the Solid Waste Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as Resale Technician at McMurdo Station
- Equipment operating experience
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours daily
- Must be able to lift the safety regulation maximum and perform functions requiring repetitive motion required
- Must pass drug screen and background check
- Able to deploy to Port Hueneme, California for length of contract
- Valid Driver's License
- Passport valid for six months after end of contract
- US citizenship or permanent residency
- A prerequisite of employment for this position is to successfully gain a favorable Tier 1 - Elevated Background Investigation (EBI) result prior to deployment
