Job Summary
Assess the value of donated items based on condition, quality, and market trends, then apply pricing strategies to merchandise to maximize sales and maintain competitive rates. Utilize pricing tools to ensure consistent accuracy across all product categories while monitoring inventory levels to optimize turnover. Collaborate with Pricer Support personnel to maintain coverage and accuracy during absences, and communicate pricing updates to team members and management. Maintain documentation of all pricing decisions and adjustments in compliance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to frequently exert up to 25 lbs of force
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be proficient in performing repetitive motions such as extending hand(s) and arm(s)
- Must be skilled in tasks involving seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands
- Must be capable of maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces
- Must possess clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more
- Must be able to work effectively in a noisy environment
- Must be able to work effectively in a bright environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are a requirement
- A fundamental understanding of written and spoken English for comprehending instructions is necessary
- The ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is necessary
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and busy environment is essential
- A high degree of flexibility is required
- Employees are expected to work in all areas as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail pricing or related field preferred
- Knowledge of thrift store operations and merchandise categories is a plus
