Job Summary
Assist teachers in implementing district English Language Arts initiatives and the Language Arts Florida Standards while organizing classroom instructional focus. Serve as a resource for strategies and materials to increase achievement by conducting classroom walk-throughs, providing follow-up support, and training staff on best practices, assessment instruments, and data interpretation. Deliver small group instruction for selected students and model effective teaching techniques during professional development sessions. Collaborate with on-site leaders to support instruction and assist with textbook implementation and district competitions.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of increasingly responsible experience in classroom teaching
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate
- Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance
- Support the district's vision, mission, goals, and Strategic Plan
- Engage in civility, respect, and professionalism
- Maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of their positions
- Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of best practices in writing/language arts instruction across content areas
