Job Summary
The Math Coach/Resource Teacher will oversee implementation of the district mathematics program across Hillsborough County Public Schools, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines while supporting STEM initiatives. Responsibilities include developing and delivering professional development for teachers, coaching staff to improve mathematics instruction, coordinating with administrators, modeling effective instructional strategies, conducting classroom walkthroughs, guiding the use of assessments and data to plan instruction, and promoting parent/community engagement in the mathematics program. The role requires knowledge of the Mathematics Florida Standards, collaboration with district supervisors, and the ability to support curriculum implementation, textbook adoption, and model lesson planning. The position emphasizes instructional leadership, data-driven instruction, and district-wide collaboration to raise achievement in mathematics.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate
- Three years of classroom teaching experience
- Educational Leadership experience preferred
- Ability to conduct professional development for teachers in mathematics
- Experience with data analysis and interpreting assessment data to plan instruction
- Ability to model effective teaching techniques and provide follow-up support
- Willingness to travel to various school sites within the district
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
