Job Summary
Design daily commercial strategies and bidding parameters for renewable and distributed energy resources assets, translating market conditions into actionable price and volume limits. Manage operational data to validate high-accuracy production forecasts, reconcile them with metering and technical constraints, and incorporate findings into short-term market decision-making workflows. Build and maintain analytical tools for scenario analysis, revenue simulations, and sensitivity testing to enable fast, data-driven decisions. Track portfolio performance against KPIs, analyze deviations and imbalance costs, and recommend improvements in forecasting, data quality, and bidding logic. Create actionable dashboards and reports for senior management detailing portfolio P&L drivers, performance trends, and market developments.
Required Qualifications
- A MSc, BSc, MEng, BEng in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics
- 0-3 years of working experience in Power markets, RES asset management, or similar analytical roles
- Understanding of RES/DER technologies and market characteristics
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
- Advanced level in Python or R, advanced Excel; familiarity with SQL
- Strong data analysis abilities using Python or R
- Clear communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Capable of presenting complex analyses in a structured way
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in short-term power markets is a plus
- EnEx trader certification is a plus
