Job Summary
Tutor individuals or small groups of students, reinforcing and implementing instruction as directed by the teacher; monitor and report student progress within the 21st CCLC program. Prepare and organize lessons, administer and score tests, and assist in determining English proficiency of identified students. Direct group activities, oversee students in labs, and assist in monitoring lunchroom and playground activities. Provide emotional support, general guidance, and proper examples while maintaining a professional appearance. Perform routine clerical duties, including record-keeping, supply inventory, and operating audio-visual equipment. Remain at school during the entire school day unless excused by the principal.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma
- G.E.D. Certificate
- demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D.
- some experience in working with children in an organized setting
- 48 hours college credit
- college transcript
- successful completion of Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment test
