Job Summary
Conduct harmonization of information management systems across humanitarian and government platforms to strengthen interoperability and reduce data duplication. Consolidate inputs and prepare situation reports (sitreps) for the Humanitarian Inter-Sector Coordination Group to inform joint planning and decision-making. Facilitate responsible sharing of humanitarian data systems while strengthening linkages with development coordination structures to ensure data complementarity. Develop and regularly update a basic Information Management System framework for intersectoral use, and prepare a comprehensive Data Management Exit Strategy including handover plans for transitioning systems to development entities. Perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor. Support volunteerism promotion through community engagement, self-reports, and contributions to UNV publications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Developing and managing Information Management Systems (IMS) within humanitarian or development context or computer science, Business IT, IT and other relevant areas
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in developing and managing Information Management Systems (IMS) within humanitarian or development contexts
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with proven ability in drafting, reporting, and professional document production
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with cultural and social sensitivity, and the ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government, UN agencies, NGOs, and community organizations
- Ability to adapt and work effectively in challenging environments, demonstrating professionalism, resilience, and the capacity to thrive in multicultural teams of international and national personnel
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with coordination mechanisms, dashboards and infographic systems is highly desirable, particularly in post transition or resilience building settings
- Experience in facilitating workshops or technical sessions to harmonize data and promote interoperability is an advantage
