Lead, coach, and mentor a team of underwriters to achieve departmental objectives while prospecting for new business, conducting client meetings, and negotiating terms to secure profitable accounts. Oversee the preparation and issuance of quotations, policy documents, endorsements, and renewals, ensuring accurate processing through Icecash and Zinara Licensing platforms. Assess, underwrite, and approve complex risks, conduct risk surveys, and manage reinsurance arrangements to ensure appropriate placement. Monitor compliance with Anti-Money Laundering requirements, oversee credit control for timely premium collection, and assist with claims queries. Identify opportunities to improve underwriting processes and portfolio performance. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Insurance and Risk Management with five years' experience in Short-Term Insurance, based in Harare.
