Job Summary
Supervise artisans and assistants in carrying out routine, preventative, and planned maintenance checks for the fleet while enforcing 100% compliance to SOPs. Delegate tasks based on daily work orders, perform quality control checks, and monitor completion within specified time frames to ensure zero re-dos. Direct and train subordinates to install, maintain, repair, and overhaul HOWO Truck assemblies, while coordinating repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls on major components. Immediately follow up on reported breakdowns and complete work order documentation the same day. Requires a Journeyman DPF/Mechanic with 5+ years in heavy vehicles and experience with HOWO, DAF, Volvo, and Iveco.
Required Qualifications
- Artisan DPF/Motor Vehicle Mechanic with minimum of 5 years' experience working with heavy vehicles
- Apprentice Trained Journeyman DPF/Motor Vehicle Mechanic with 5 years' experience working with heavy vehicles of which 3 years should been on supervisory role
- Experience in HOWO, DAF, VOLVO, IVECO both diesel and petrol
- Ability to read and interpret user manuals correctly
- Excellent diagnostics and fault rectification skills for the fleet at hand
- Highly knowledgeable in today's automotive technology to include, computer systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, steering systems, & drive trains for heavy trucks and automotive equipment
