ReqToPay Process Improvement Specialist

Job Summary

Analyze and assess the full Procure to Pay lifecycle from requisition through payment to identify bottlenecks, manual touchpoints, and non-value-added activities. Translate business requirements into efficient, scalable process solutions by implementing standardization initiatives across P2P workflows and simplifying approval flows. Perform root-cause analysis to resolve recurring issues and enable system and automation improvements within ERP and P2P tools like Ariba. Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership to improve key performance indicators while driving adoption through structured change management plans. This role requires Six Sigma certification and 5+ years of experience in ReqToPay, accounts payable, or procurement. Candidates must possess proficiency with ERP systems and strong communication skills to present recommendations to senior management. The position involves a hybrid schedule of four days on-site and one day remote in Pittsburgh, PA.

Required Qualifications

  • A proven understanding of the BuyPay transactional process
  • Deep general accounting knowledge
  • Ability to understand and deliver on organizational priorities
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Process improvement design and implementation experience
  • Professional English language capabilities
  • 5+ years experience in ReqToPay, accounts payable, or procurement roles
  • Proficiency with ERP systems
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify inefficiencies, and use tools such as Excel and Power BI
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset - Proven experience in driving change and optimizing workflows
  • Communication and Enrollment - Interpersonal, oral, written and presentations; ability to 'sell' concepts, ideas, and goals; stakeholder/ customer management
  • Self-confidence, learning orientation, global awareness, judgment, initiative, and tenacity
  • Professionalism, collaboration, customer focus, results orientation, problem solving capabilities, attention to detail
  • Strong customer focus, and experience with complex problem resolution
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting obtained at an accredited college or university
  • Must be available for 4 days on; 1 day remote
