Job Summary
The Reproductive Health Assistant (RHA) I at PPIL in Rogers Park performs medical assistant duties including maintaining patient records, logs, and inventory; basic lab work; clerical tasks; and responding to patient inquiries and needs under the Health Center Manager. Essential responsibilities emphasize providing patient-centered care, accurate record-keeping, scheduling/front-desk duties, knowledge of PPIL services and fees, HIPAA/CLIA/OSHA compliance, and collaboration with staff to support patient visits. Training within three months to achieve level 1 proficiencies, assisting with family planning counseling and related services, inventory management of medications and contraceptives, and adherence to PPIL core values and policies. The role requires attention to diversity and inclusivity, effective communication with patients and staff, and potential evening/weekend hours and travel between PPIL locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or HSE required
- Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Ability to travel to assigned Health Center and to other PPIL work locations as needed (required)
