Job Summary
Representative - Outside Sales responsible for developing new prospects, face-to-face selling and account management to meet sales revenue, engaging with customers at various levels (technical, operations, supply chain, and executives), developing and delivering bids/proposals and product demonstrations, and maintaining relationships to drive satisfaction and growth. Travel to client sites and warehouses is expected, with a focus on presenting solutions, expanding account plans, and leveraging sales tools and supplier training to achieve revenue and margin objectives. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are required; commission opportunity is included.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record
- High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Prior sales experience required, outside sales preferred
- Two years of industry experience preferred
- Ability to travel to current and potential clients and suppliers
- Ability to work flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective communicator both written and verbally
- Ability to work in team environment
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (Preferred)
- Ability to travel 50% - 75% of the time
