Job Summary
Inside Sales Representative focused on existing customers: increase sales, obtain/create/up-sell orders, ensure customer satisfaction, and collaborate with outside sales. Responsibilities include processing orders via email/phone, entering items, communicating stock-outs and delivery dates, suggesting related items to expand orders, developing opportunities passed from marketing/outside/national accounts, preparing quotations, monitoring open orders and backorders, reporting industry trends and pricing to management, and maintaining reporting and notices. Requires 2-4 years in sales/sales administration, proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to multitask, team-oriented, clear communication, attention to detail, and 0-25% travel. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 10:00 am–7:00 pm. Includes opportunity to earn commission in addition to base salary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelors’ degree preferred
- Requires knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration
- Familiar with Microsoft Office
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Working in team environment
- Communicate clearly, both verbally and in written form
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and potentially new accounts
- Take action and solve a range of problems that may be difficult but are not typically complex
- Identify and define problems and possible solutions independently; chooses among existing solutions
- Ability to work independently with general supervision
- Ability to travel 0% - 25%
