Job Summary
Represents an Inside Sales role focused on growing existing customer accounts through proactive selling, order creation/verification, and coordination with outside sales. Responsibilities include processing orders via email/phone, entering items, communicating delivery dates, increasing order value by suggesting related items, developing opportunities from marketing and national accounts, preparing quotations, tracking open orders and backorders, reporting industry trends and pricing feedback, and maintaining customer satisfaction. Requires experience in sales/sales administration, strong MS Office skills, the ability to multi-task, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to travel up to 25%. The role offers commission in addition to base salary and involves collaboration with a team to meet sales goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-4 years of sales experience
- Knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to travel 0% - 25%
- Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently with general supervision
- Team-oriented and able to collaborate with outside sales
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and potentially new accounts
- Ability to identify and define problems and potential solutions
