Job Summary
Assist customers inside and outside the U-Haul Center with products and services using smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory. Move and hook up trucks and trailers, then clean and inspect equipment on the lot by checking fluid levels. Answer client questions, educate them on offerings, prepare rental invoices, and accept returned equipment. This role requires a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. The position involves moderate physical exertion and safety precautions around moving machinery and chemicals.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to move equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted
- Must be able to work around moving parts or machines
- Must be able to work with fumes or irritant chemicals
- Must be able to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields
- Must be able to remain stationary for long periods
- Must be able to move around an office
- Must be able to position oneself to reach objects at varying heights
