Job Summary
Review treatment programs and processes at assigned customer sites through routine testing and monitoring to ensure effective applications, customer satisfaction, and business retention. Conduct necessary on-site and classroom training programs to understand overall operations of territory plants and new customer sites. Identify new product opportunities and sell new business by developing and implementing sales plans for new applications. Maintain revenue, capture pricing, and manage account profitability including pump settings and accounts receivable. Evaluate account applications and procedures to implement safety improvements. Must reside within a one-hour commute of the mill and be available for emergency call-ins during nights and weekends. Fluent in both spoken and written French required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Science or other technical degree)
- 1-3 years industry experience (pulp & paper or water treatment preferred)
- Documented results solving complex and non-routine technical problems
- Project management of complex projects
- Strong relationship management skills
- Experience learning new concepts and/or technology and applying them
- Ability to work with autonomy and direct/coach indirect reports
- Experience working with multi levels in an organization to achieve results
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using a consultive sales process
- Must be fluent in both spoken and written French
- Must be available to respond to emergency call-ins during nights and weekends
- Must reside within a one-hour commute of the mill
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment
- Ability to safely operate, maintain, and select the appropriate tools for a variety of maintenance and repair tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree
