Job Summary
Interpret prevailing wage laws including the Davis-Bacon Act and state statutes to ensure project compliance with wage determinations and labor classifications. Review and audit certified payroll submissions for accuracy, verify worker classifications and overtime calculations, and coordinate with contractors to resolve discrepancies. Support bid document integration of wage requirements, track wage determinations throughout the project lifecycle, and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and external regulatory agencies. Administer DOE 247 applications, manage document processing workflows, and provide training to internal teams and contractors on compliance best practices. This onsite role in Potsdam or Queensbury, NY requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of labor compliance experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor compliance, payroll administration, or construction compliance
- Working knowledge of federal and/or state prevailing wage laws
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and document management systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with union agreements and fringe benefit calculations
- Background in government-funded or public works projects
