Reporting & Royalties Administrator

Job Summary

Read, analyze, and input distribution agreements and sales licenses to produce and fulfill reporting obligations for net revenues. Work with Rights Admin and Finance teams to ensure data integrity between collections and expenses systems, while coordinating with Legal, Content, and Media Ops to obtain required information. Analyze royalty receipts to ensure cash completeness, identify variances, and update tracking sheets to manage expenses, recoupments, and net payments. Serve as the administrative point of contact for Rev Share licensees to enforce terms and ensure accurate reporting. Assist with internal and external audit requests and participate in reporting workflow automation projects. Maintain up-to-date producer contact details and commission data in Rightsline.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Minimum 3-years experience in basic bookkeeping/royalties practices, or other relevant experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency and precision with data, numbers and calculations
  • Ability to communicate effectively to non-finance roles
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently to effectively manage workload and prioritize activities
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Analytical outlook
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
  • Intermediate Excel skills – proficient with pivot tables, vlookups, macros, etc
  • Experience using AI tools to find efficiencies in assigned work

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Rightsline and NetSuite is considered an asset
  • Previous experience in distribution, television or other entertainment media is an advantage
