Job Summary
Medical Records Retrieval Specialist responsible for requesting, collecting, organizing, and processing medical records to support Risk Adjustment, HEDIS, and Quality Improvement initiatives. Manages outbound and inbound record requests, retrieves documents from EMR/EHR systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner), scans and uploads records, and ensures compliant handling of sensitive health information. Works with Risk Adjustment Supervisor and provider groups via fax, phone, and occasional on-site visits; role is office-based with some travel. Key duties include submitting and tracking requests, maintaining organized records, supporting audits and data collection projects, updating a centralized provider repository, communicating status updates to provider groups, maintaining documentation in chase reports, meeting productivity goals, and developing streamlined workflows and scripts for efficient operations.
