Job Summary
Monitor all media to locate keyword-centric articles and analyze their meaning to convey findings accurately into the content management system. Build out rumors into short stories or briefs using The Deal's database for background, producing 5–10 concise 300-word stories daily. Harvest and manipulate existing news and data records on M&A transactions to form narratives around rumors and news, ensuring articles are well-written, accurate, and linked back to Deal content.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in either English / English Literature / Journalism
- Knowledge of business and some stock market knowledge
- Strong written and oral English communication skills
- Pro-active individual with the ability to work independently
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to analyse data
- Experience in accessing the internet and using social media sites
- Intermediate knowledge of computers and Microsoft office package
