Job Summary
Reporter role responsible for researching and interviewing sources, shooting and editing video, writing news copy, and delivering on-air reports across platforms. Responsibilities include operating camera and audio equipment, assembling material with non-linear editing software, crafting broadcast-ready stories, pitching story ideas to newsroom management, and engaging audiences via social media. Requires self-sufficiency, adaptability to multiple platforms (television, online, social), and the ability to manage all aspects of story production from start to finish. Must hold a Bachelor’s in Broadcast Journalism (or equivalent), be fluent in English, possess Adobe Premiere skills, have at least two years of news reporting experience, maintain a valid driver’s license, and be flexible to work any shift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Adobe Premiere knowledge
- Minimum two years’ experience in news reporting
- Superior on-air presence
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Flexibility to work any shift
