Job Summary
Manage intra-company material transfers and inventory control processes for a designated distribution territory, serving as the primary contact for 3PL warehouses. Develop, report on, and optimize inventory levels against forecast and safety stock targets while proactively reducing logistics costs and improving service. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align distribution plans and daily inform Customer Supply Chain on material availability at the SKU level. Oversee SLOB inventory activities, including resale, disposition, and SKU rationalization, and perform inventory adjustments in SAP and 3rd party portals. Ensure receipt accuracy for import shipments and clear EDI errors, directing 3PL operations on quality issues and rework.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or an equivalent functional area
- Minimum of 5 years progressive Supply Chain Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in inventory planning
- Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics
- Working knowledge of Material Management systems such as SAP (MRP)
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with ERP Supply Chain Planning software
- Knowledge of key inventory and supply chain performance metrics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, mostly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data mining)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and desire to work with data
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive business relationships through collaboration
- Self-starter, self-motivated, and ability to make decisions independently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills with ability to prioritize, work under pressure, manage simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Ability to lead cross-functionally, work in a team environment and collaborate with internal process partners
Desired Qualifications
- Strong technical aptitude with inventory control systems preferred
- APICS or other Supply Chain / Logistics Certification encouraged but not required
