Job Summary
Develop and report on intra-company material transfers to drive inventory levels versus forecast and safety stock targets at assigned locations. Proactively reduce costs and improve service by managing inventory control processes at 3PL warehouses, including stock rotation, disposition, and SLOB inventory activities. Partner daily with cross-functional stakeholders and Customer Supply Chain to align distribution plans and inform material availability at SKU level. Perform inventory adjustments in SAP and 3rd party portals for cycle counts, quality issues, and variances, while overseeing 3PL warehouse directions on quality and rework. Ensure accurate receipt processing in SAP, clearing EDI errors and communicating product variances back to plants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or an equivalent functional area
- Minimum of 5 years progressive Supply Chain Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in inventory planning
- Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics
- Working knowledge of Material Management systems such as SAP (MRP)
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with ERP Supply Chain Planning software
- Knowledge of key inventory and supply chain performance metrics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, mostly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data mining)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and desire to work with data
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive business relationships through collaboration
- Self-starter, self-motivated, and ability to make decisions independently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills with ability to prioritize, work under pressure, manage simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Ability to lead cross-functionally, work in a team environment and collaborate with internal process partners
Desired Qualifications
- Strong technical aptitude with inventory control systems preferred
- APICS or other Supply Chain / Logistics Certification encouraged but not required
