Job Summary
Repayment Manager leads all repayment and collections functions for a Michigan-based credit union, overseeing delinquency management, foreclosure processes, and loss mitigation while ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering a member-centered experience. The role manages a high-performing team, develops budgets and metrics, analyzes portfolio trends, reports insights to leadership, and aligns repayment strategies with broader lending goals. Responsibilities include supervising delinquent loans, charged-off accounts, foreclosures, bankruptcy, garnishments, and other recovery activities; maintaining accurate, timely records; and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external agencies to optimize recovery outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of collections or recovery experience within a financial institution
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing a collections or repayments team
- Strong understanding of consumer lending, loss mitigation, and regulatory requirements
