Job Summary
Lead Repair Technician responsible for assembling, repairing, testing, and movement of AV Inc. SUAS in a manufacturing/maintenance facility following engineering drawings and work orders. Serves as Team Lead, coordinating final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles, performing operational checks, soldering as needed, and training other technicians. Collaborates with technicians and engineering to improve assembly and documentation, drives efficiency and quality, ensures proper work-order protocols, maintains an organized and safe environment, and supports ITAR/EAR/compliance requirements. Must be able to travel, communicate effectively, and mentor a small team while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain US government security clearance if needed
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Current Remote Pilot Certificate under FAA Part 107
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience working on and operating SUAS and ground control equipment
- Experience with hand tools including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power and air tools
- Demonstrate safety and ESD practices
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Clean driving record
- Ability to travel CONUS and/or OCONUS up to ~20%
- Effective communication, judgment, decision-making, critical thinking, problem-solving and presentation skills
- Ability to lead, train and mentor a small team
- Ability to work with little supervision and exercise independent judgement
- ITAR/EAR compliance awareness
- Security clearance readiness
