Job Summary
Troubleshoot defective units and repair assigned company products returned from the field for service. Process equipment for repair or exchange, rework modifications, and realignments to restore units to working order. Validate corrective actions, perform testing, and document failure codes on company systems. Identify product and procedure problems, report issues to the Engineering Lead, and communicate reliability concerns to improve diagnostic processes. This role operates under moderate supervision with semi-detailed instructions, requiring excellent soldering skills and the ability to interpret manufacturing drawings. The position is a 1st shift (5:30 am - 2:00 pm) with a pay range of $20.43 to $27.21 per hour. Required Qualifications
- Excellent Soldering skills, capable of fine pitch remove and replacement of complex surface mount components
- Ability to Read/interpret manufacturing drawings and schematic diagrams
- Ability to use common hand tools
- Capable of operating required equipment
- Ability to exercise good judgment
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate a Personal Computer
- Minimum 2 years (4 years preferred) electronic equipment diagnosis and repair or related field
- Associates degree in Electronics Technology, Technical School or Certificate, or equivalent combination of education/experience including understanding of basic electronics theory - Required
