Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair faulty equipment by disassembling units, replacing parts, and adjusting components. Document all diagnostics, repairs, and parts used while maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Communicate repair status and recommendations to customers or internal teams, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and company guidelines. Keep up-to-date with new products and repair techniques, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals to troubleshoot effectively.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven experience as a Repair Technician or in a similar role
- Strong mechanical and/or electronic troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Technical or vocational training
- Certification in relevant trade or technical field (e.g., CompTIA A+, HVAC certification, ASE certification)
- Experience with inventory management systems and repair ticketing software
- Experience in Profit 21
- Valid driver's license (if field work is involved)
