Repair Technician

Job Summary

Inspect, diagnose, and repair faulty equipment by disassembling units, replacing parts, and adjusting components. Document all diagnostics, repairs, and parts used while maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Communicate repair status and recommendations to customers or internal teams, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and company guidelines. Keep up-to-date with new products and repair techniques, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals to troubleshoot effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven experience as a Repair Technician or in a similar role
  • Strong mechanical and/or electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical or vocational training
  • Certification in relevant trade or technical field (e.g., CompTIA A+, HVAC certification, ASE certification)
  • Experience with inventory management systems and repair ticketing software
  • Experience in Profit 21
  • Valid driver's license (if field work is involved)
