Job Summary
Diagnose and repair customer tools using hand and power tools, disassembling units to locate and replace defective parts per work instructions. Review Tool Service Bulletins and schematics to make decisions on warranty liability and unusual repair problems. Complete repair orders with technician notes, track parts usage for billing, and perform electrical, mechanical, and functional tests to ensure quality standards. Report operational irregularities and defective materials, maintaining a safe work environment with proper PPE and situational awareness. Submit recommendations for reconditioned tools to Quality Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Mechanical skills
- Diagnostic skills
- High attention to detail
- Basic computer and writing skills
- 3 months or more previous experience in Repair/Recondition
- Fluency in English
- Strong communication skills, written and oral
