Job Summary
Perform repair and service work on company products using hand and power tools to disassemble units, diagnose operating difficulties, and replace defective parts. Read repair order information, parts schematics, and Tool Service Bulletins to make decisions on warranty liability and unusual repairs. Complete repair order forms with technician notes, track parts used for billing, and conduct electrical, mechanical, and functional tests against quality standards. Recognize operational irregularities, report defective materials, and maintain records of work performed. Work safely with proper PPE, adhere to prescribed procedures, and ensure all repairs pass in-process and final inspection.
Required Qualifications
- Education equivalent to high school diploma or GED
- Mechanical skills
- Diagnostic skills
- High attention to detail
- Basic computer and writing skills
- 3 months or more previous experience in Repair/Recondition
- Fluency in English
- Strong communication skills, written and oral
- No final warnings
- No more than 5.75 attendance points
- Efficiency and Quality goal met for previous 3 months
- Must be in current role for 6+ months
- Must meet all job description requirements
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to perform repetitive motion
- Able to bend, stoop, push and pull parts and containers
- Able to work in various temperature conditions
