Job Summary
Repair vehicle glass chips, cracks, and other issues on customer vehicles using hands-on training and the Safelite Way of Fitting. Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology. Clean customer vehicles during wait times and perform housekeeping tasks in the shop. Safely operate a company fleet vehicle to and from customer locations while presenting a professional appearance and wearing personal protective equipment. Lift and carry up to 25 lbs, assist with windshields weighing 26 to 50 lbs, and work at elevated heights. Requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and flexibility with fluctuating workloads and weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED/Equivalent
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- On-the-job training/completion of Safelite SafeTechTM certification
- The ability to operate a Safelite van, following all safety, cleanliness policies, traffic laws, and maintain a safe driving record
- Flexibility with hours and days trained/worked, as workloads fluctuate
- Comfort working outside in a variety of weather conditions
- Present a professional appearance and wear personal protective equipment
- Physical requirements: lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. for short periods, assist an associate with lifting windshields weighing 26 lbs. to 50 lbs., safely operate various equipment including hand and power tools, working at elevated heights, remaining on your feet for extended periods
