Job Summary
Perform sewing, stitching, and hand-sewn repairs on garments and textile products. Conduct minor clothing repairs including patching, hemming, and zipper replacement; use garment care equipment (steamers and cleaning tools) to refresh shoes, leather accents, and fabrics. Assess items for repair needs and recommend actions; maintain high standards of quality control; ensure workspace and equipment are organized; communicate with team members and customers to clarify repair needs and timelines; keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in sewing, stitching, garment care, or minor repair work, including familiarity with both hand-sewing and machine sewing
- Comfortable using garment care equipment (e.g., steam machines) and hand tools for cleaning and repairs
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong English communication skills (speaking and writing)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in a workshop setting
- Bilingual (English + another language)
- Experience in a repair center, refurbishment, tailoring, or textile environment
- Background in leather or accessory repair
- Experience with refurbished goods or quality restoration
