Repair & Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Conduct hands-on inspection, repair, and maintenance of field tools, machinery, and structures using technical manuals, procedures, and work instructions. Perform daily operations including unloading, disassembly, cleaning, pressure testing, visual checking, painting, assembly, and storage of equipment while maintaining a safe working condition. Utilize precision measuring instruments, lifting equipment, and forklift trucks to validate quantities, move assets, and complete necessary documentation against training and competence levels. Initiate and close out work orders, AIRTs, and PFTs, accurately logging labor time. In senior positions, lead teams, define work schedules, troubleshoot equipment issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and LEAN initiatives. Domestic travel of up to 10% may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years of experience in Oil & Gas industry
  • High School Diploma
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Basic Mathematics
  • Working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements & explosives
  • Awareness of NDT, NDE and ATEX policies & principles
  • Must be certified for the use of lifting equipment, including forklift trucks and cranes
  • Must be able to diagnose issues and problems with tools/equipment
  • Must be capable to meet the physical demands that the role requires
  • Must be able to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery
  • Must be able to imagine how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair or modifications
  • Must be available for domestic travel of up to 10%

  • More senior roles require the ability to ensure all failures are followed up to closure with a proper root cause analysis
  • More senior roles require the ability to implement predetermined corrective action(s)
  • More senior roles require the ability to support and comply with the LEAN initiatives
  • More senior roles require the ability to participate in the continuous efficiency improvement program of the facility
